What is a Medicine/Talisman Doll? A Medicine Doll is an intuitively created handmade doll that embodies its own unique qualities. It holds your intentions and carries your essence. The process of making a Medicine Doll allows you to communicate with the deepest parts of yourself and connect to your natural creativity, which can be profoundly transformative. These Dolls can be used in meditation, for ceremony, as part of an altar, given as a gift or in any way that feels right. The time will consist of creating sacred space, a sound-guided journey to connect to the essence of your doll (in-the-making), sharing in a group, and lots of time to create your own unique figurine. Materials will be supplied, but feel free to bring twigs or branches from your favorite tree or walk - small stones, small pine cones, moss, dried flowers, pods, grasses, and other natural items. You can also bring charms, talismans, crystals, bits of jewelry, and special objects that hold meaning to you. Or — you can let her develop organically and intuitively choose fabrics and embellishments without making conscious choices ahead of time. Bring your intentions and your special items, and let’s create. If you have your own sewing needles and scissors, pincushion, etc. please bring those.
